The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) launched a new initiative prioritizing Chicago youth, focusing on enhancing knowledge about the dangers of vaping and promoting cessation. The #MeAndNicBrokeUp campaign encourages all Chicago youth to break up with nicotine for good and pledge to live vape-free. In partnership with Youth Marketing Connection (YMC), CDPH is awarding a select number of scholarships to Chicago-based students who commit to a vape-free lifestyle. These scholarships are intended to help students financially support their education.
Hello, My name is Liliana Rosas Ventura, This scholarship means the world to me because my whole life I pledged never to smoke. I want to thank the Chicago Public Health Department for awarding me this scholarship. This scholarship going to help me when I enter college in the fall of 2025. I first heard about the #MeAndNicBrokeUp Scholarship through ScholarshipOwl. I wasn't expecting to win, so you can imagine my surprise when I received the email confirming that I had won the scholarship. I'm very grateful that I won and will be putting the money towards getting a degree in Chemical Engineering.
